Doesn't matter what the default is. Default fuel maybe be 50%, we don’t use that because its default.
This slider should be set to the amount of degrees the physical desktop wheel can turn (sorry, seen no mention of black or red momo)
Same slider can be found in the garage /steering tab where it’s called 'controller wheel turns'
Please refer to Bob Smiths LFS advanced setup guide PDF, page 13 for a scawen explanation
You also need to note which axis moves when you do the above ,then centre the momo wheel , then click the small 'c' on that axis to show lfs where the centre is , then switch calibration lock on .
Also a good idea to put the pedals through there full range of travel before re-enabling the calibration lock
i think the fan is mullered ,as it is very very noisy .Usually unplug the fan from the card when not gaming and underclock
Im sure the budget could stretch to a zalman etc.
How can i find out the manufacturer of my card to check compatiblity .
Tried typing in the numbers from the stickers on the card to no avail.
Q:Specifically , are the spring effects /damper effects /centering spring controlled in anyway by LFS? What should the values be set at ?
A: These settings in your wheel drivers are not set in any way by LFS. Spring, damper and centering spring should all be set to zero and force strength to 100%. This will give LFS full control, using only the "constant force" effect.
also that 'enable centering spring' should not be ticked.
I only play LFS so i havent used the game specific profiles.
I presume you don't have to use these , you can just use the global settings if no profile in use ?
LOL
To things in perspective I have a Compaq Presario 6263ea Northwood skt 478 P4 2.6mzh 512mb pc2100 ddr sdram 9600xt(rv360?) oh and a 220v psu .
So don’t really want to spend anything! Maybe £40 - £50 inc.a CPU cooler and case fan as these are noisy too when I unplug the gfx fan.I have been overclocking the 9600xt a bit
looking at the zalman site ,the FV900 installation guide says 96 series except 9600xt.And there are some incompatible 9600xt cards for the FV700 , but I am unsure exactly which manufacturer I have (2nd hand eBay purchase)
Especially when you click on 'Find User Online' (when looking for mates) then you are transported magically to an unknown track with no idea what set to use.
+1
Need full track name not just abbreviations
/w pb to see you Personal Best time on that track in that car
I lasted 4 days before ripping the pedals apart and remounting them so they are top pivoting .Makes it much easier to heel/toe once the spacing was adjusted.
Very easy to do, almost designed to be taken apart
Can also be put back to original, and you would never know
I agree with all the points in post 1, but I’m sure I read it’s coming at some point.
Also with just two pedals , I could left foot brake and apply some throttle as I eased of the brakes .Now , when using the clutch there’s a point when I'm off the throttle and brake and the rear gets very loose (fzr)
I think this is down to no preload on the diff (lsd)
First of all, I can’t begin to imagine the work involved in setting this up, great job, it must be very stressful!
There are no contact details on your web site I can see (also can’t see where it says all communications by email)
I think I sent/received 2/3 emails about a month ago, details/passwords were added to my calendar, then emails deleted, so no email address.
My browser saves the passwords for sites, so once I have entered it, I do not need to return to old emails for passwords and still have access to member’s area
Agor obviously didn’t know to email you, and has posted his objection on the forum, contrary to the rules.
I waited till the race had ended and asked how to put forward an objection and was told by Lotesdelere to object, to which I typed” I object”, he said ok
I did read the rules before the race .After looking at the rules again, it says to “send a replay with the exact details of the event” so PM’s can’t be used as you can’t attach files and I didn’t think this method would be appropriate , and again could not see a email address anywhere on the site
Sorry if I’m being ‘stupid’ but I thought it was a fair question to ask where the objections should be send to,
(And the answer would be off benefit to others e.g agor)
I’m scared to ask , but I still don’t know where to send them
Great idea mate, nice to see it looks pretty easy.
I can heel toe in my car fine, but find it hard with the stock pedals.
Would love to know your angles and dimensions.
Was this designed for under a desk with a chair or bucket seat or for a cockpit?
Don’t wait till its finished for more pic’s, get them up now
The brake pedal requires so much pressure it pushes my office chair away from the desk! I need to design a restraining device for that too
Mmmmh seems like nobody knows for sure
I would have thought that during testing/programming of the g25 in lfs ,these settings would have been known/found ?
